The CCM Tacks XR90 intermediate hockey skates are built around CCM's new Core Boot technology, delivering a close-to-foot feel with a one-piece construction optimized for power transfer. The ergonomic, lightweight design makes these skates a strong choice for developing players who skate frequently and demand responsive performance from their equipment. The boot is fully thermoformable, allowing it to be heat-molded to the skater's foot for a personalized fit.
The XR90 features a stiffer boot profile, making it best suited for skaters with powerful strides who benefit from maximum ankle support. Inside, the TotalDri Pro liner wicks moisture to keep feet dry and skates light, while antimicrobial treatment controls odor and bacteria. ADPT Memory Foam ankle pads and the molded ADPT Comfort Tongue work together to reduce lace-bite and improve forward flexion. The molded CCM Ortholite footbed with a lightweight midsole enhances energy transfer from boot to blade.
On the ice, the XR90 is equipped with the Speedblade XS holder—a quick-release system with a metal pin blade lock—paired with XS1 Pro Black Stainless runners. The blades run 4mm taller than a standard runner, offering improved attack angles and extended edge life thanks to the XS1 Pro Black Coating.
