New for 2026, the CCM Tacks XR Senior Hockey Shoulder Pads are built for elite-level players who demand maximum protection without sacrificing mobility or comfort. Featuring a Max Coverage ASD (Anatomical Shield Design) with compress-molded PE foam and front/back air channels, these pads deliver full-body impact protection while promoting airflow to keep players cool throughout the game.
The shoulders are equipped with low-profile JDP injected shoulder caps with exposed foam covers that disperse impact force efficiently. Floating clavicle coverage with PE plastic guards adds elite-level protection to one of hockey's most vulnerable areas while maintaining unrestricted range of motion. Sternum and spine protection is handled by a single-piece back base panel with molded EVA foam in the lower back and D30 technology at both the sternum and back spine for advanced impact absorption.
The torso section includes AdaptFit length-adjustable straps and internal air channels for a customizable fit and superior ventilation. The front pad is both removable and adjustable, offering additional lower-body coverage with a close-to-the-body feel. Bicep guards feature injected plastic construction with adjustable strap length and height settings to tailor the fit to individual player preferences.
Inside, a closed-cell sweat-repellant EVA foam liner works alongside the pad's air channel system to manage moisture and maintain comfort during play.
