The CCM Tacks XR80 Senior Hockey Shin Guards are a new addition to the Tacks lineup for the 2026 season, built around a max coverage ASD (Anatomical Shield Design) for competitive-level protection across the shin, knee, calf, and thigh. The new injection molded shin cap delivers a solid protective shell engineered to handle hard impacts while keeping the padding securely in place during play.
Calf protection is provided by a compress-molded EVA foam calf guard reinforced with PE plastic, offering reliable impact and shock absorption. At the knee, an injected kneecap paired with a protective comfort donut helps distribute impact force away from the joint, while mid-density foam thigh guards add coverage to the upper leg.
Fit and retention are handled by a streamlined lock strap with a comfort cushion and a length-adjustable calf strap, accommodating a wide range of calf sizes for a snug, customizable feel. Inside, a fully removable and adjustable liner with a comfort donut conforms to the knee for added comfort and a personalized fit.
